Calvary Baptist supports local ministries and worldwide missions outreach as a key expression of our faith in a God who is mighty to save.
We believe God has ordained and promised to work through the preaching of the Word (Rom. 10:14-15; 2Tim 4:2; Col. 1:28).
Calvary Baptist Church emphasizes a God centered, Bible saturated ministry through the preaching of the Word. Our corporate service times are designed to lift up Jesus and help those in attendance to know, worship and serve Him with all their heart. Our pastor's preaching and teaching ministry is a primary thrust of what we do at Calvary both in training and outreach.

 "foundations" and "Covenant Groups"
Learning and living God’s Word is important at every age. Foundations of biblical training on Sunday morning are a priority training, fellowship, prayer and outreach arm of our church ministry. Approximately 75% of those who attend our church are also in a "foundations" class. We hope that number continues to grow! One of the best ways to grow at Calvary is to get involved in foundation classes and a covenant group (see listing). See you this Sunday at 9:00 am!

 youth group
Our Jr. and Sr. High youth group meets Sunday mornings at 9:00 am and then again on Wednesday nights at 6:30 pm. Our youth have a regular calendar of activities that center around understanding God's Word and how to live in light of it. An annual missions trip and other service projects also are an important part of the makeup of our youth group. Brian Hall is on staff here at Calvary and leads our group as well as his youth volunteer staff. So come on out and have some fun growing together in Christ with other teenagers!

 master's disc golf course
The Master’s Disc Golf Course is a course designed for either 9 or 18 hole play with both recreational and advanced tees. The course is conveniently located behind Calvary Baptist Church facility and on the north border of Hummel Park. It is our desire to introduce more and more people in our community to Jesus Christ through this outreach tool. Scorecards and course maps are available at the start sign - hole #1. Discs are available at the church office during normal office hours.

 weekly religous education
Weekly Religious Education meets here at Calvary on Tuesday mornings during the school year.
4th graders from the Plainfield public school system are given the opportunity to attend a one hour Bible class on a weekly basis with one of three church groups.
Calvary hosts one of those groups and transports the kids here by our van and faithful drivers. We have three classes of 4th graders that come between 9-11am to hear the Word of God and the good news of the gospel.
